Elizabeth Sabine

Elizabeth Sabine is an Ocean County, New Jersey based freelance artist whose work is distinguished by its eloquent simplicity. Elizabeth formally studied art & design at the Fashion Institute of Technology & has been active in this space ever since. Largely influenced by the impressionist movement, Elizabeth is able to bring to life the light & atmosphere that a moment in time possesses. She finds inspiration in the color of nature that is intensified through her work. Although she primarily works with oils, she does not limit herself to this. Elizabeth utilizes many mediums including acrylic, watercolor & mixed medium art. Elizabeth’s work is emotional & personal. She believes that art goes beyond aesthetics of an image & is really rooted in the feelings a piece of art invokes & the life it creates.

Fred Ballet

It has been said that the true subject of the photograph is the photographer.

Fred grew up in Brooklyn and from an early age was fascinated with the natural world. He was keenly interested in biology and comparative anatomy and attended college, medical school, and after graduation and post doctoral training, became a Hand Surgeon. During his career, he married, had twin boys, became a grandfather, built a wooden sailboat and earned a 3rd degree black belt in Karate.

Fred feels fortunate to live at the beach and capture her images at different times of the day and year. He is always seeking to balance reality with abstraction.

In September, 2018 Fred became the first student to earn the Contemporary Practices Photography Certificate at the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center.
