Bob Bowne

Bob Bowne learned the basics of photography at Brookdale Community College in the early 70’s, followed by classes at The New School in NYC. He also studied and assisted many NY photographers to further his knowledge.

In the early 80’s, Bob opened a studio  in Asbury Park, and worked on illustrations and advertising design, while still pursuing his own fine art on the side. His work has been published in The New York Times, Sports Illustrated, The Wall Street Journal, and Surfer magazine, among many others. Recent work is now in the permanent collection of The Museum of the City of New York.

Bob now shoots for his own enjoyment, his work reflecting a love of the photographic process and his enjoyment of the area he was born and lives.
