New Jersey artist Wendy McCarthy is a painter whose subject matter include large seascapes and figurative work. “It’s not hard to be inspired living next to the Atlantic Ocean; the sea water gets into your veins.”

Although Wendy attended Parsons School of Design in NYC, she considers herself self-taught. “Like many artists, I began drawing when I was very young. I always had a pencil in my hand.”

Currently working with oil paints, Wendy finds endless variation in the moods and color of the ocean. “Each new painting is a new start, and a new chance to paint something beautiful.”
