Ken Stetz is a visual artist working professionally in the heart of the Jersey Shore. Much of his work centers around capturing the beauty of the bays and beaches along the midatlantic coast. Stetz feels his goal as an artist is to create visual images that evoke his passion for the life around him.
His work has won numerous awards including best painting in the 2014 Jersey Shore 10th Annual Juried Exhibit for the piece “Heading Home”. His work has been collected and comissioned by private collectors, businesses, and corporations. A number of works have been reproduced as signed and numbered giclée prints. These prints have been purchased privately, and by organizations including AtlantiCare Healing Arts Foundation.
Ken spends part of his week teaching drawing and painting classes, and presenting workshops and demos through independent studios and arts organizations. The rest of his time is dedicated to creating new work in his home based studio, painting mostly in oil on canvas but also in watercolor on paper. His main goal as a painter is to connect with his subject through and emphasis on light, emotion, and atmosphere.
